The first city fire brigade appeared in Mogilev in 1853. In 1895, a free fire fighting society was formed in the city. During the existence of the Soviet Union, the city fire department functioned in the NKVD (Ministry of Internal Affairs) of the BSSR. In 1994, the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MOE) was established in Belarus. One of the main tasks of the staff of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the successor of the fire department, is the prevention and elimination of fires.
As the population grew and industry developed in Mogilev, the fire and rescue service also improved. The presented archival document is dedicated to the opening of a new fire station in the city, where fire station No. 1 is located, and now the Mogilev Regional Administration of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus is located.
