Rules for the use of information posted on the website “Documentary Chronicle of Belarus”

1. GENERAL PROVISIONS

1.1. The project was created on the basis of an order from the Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus R. A. Golovchenko, given by him following a visit to the institution “Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo and Sound Documents” on August 5, 2022. The site was developed by SparKit LLC by order of the state institution “Belarusian Research Center for Electronic Documentation” (BelNITsED).

1.2. The main sources of information are archival documents stored in the National Archive of the Republic of Belarus, the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo and Sound Documents, the Belarusian State Archive of Literature and Art, the Belarusian State Archive of Scientific and Technical Documentation, as well as in regional and zonal state archives.

These rules define the procedure and conditions for the use of materials posted on the website “Documentary Chronicle of Belarus” – letopis.by (hereinafter referred to as the Site);

1.3. The letopis.by portal is distributed on the Internet, is an official resource of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus and contains materials, data, information provided by state archival institutions.

2. USE OF MATERIALS

2.1. The use of materials means full or partial reprinting, reproduction, distribution, public display, broadcasting, cable communication, use as visual propaganda, bringing to public attention, translation and other possible methods of use provided for by the current legislation of the Republic of Belarus;

2.2. The use of digital copies of archival documents from sections of the Site is possible by any Internet User without obtaining the consent of the Site administration, indicating the archival code of the document and a hyperlink to the source material on the Site or the address of the section of the Site from which the specified materials were borrowed.

2.3. The use of visual propaganda (posters, cartoons, drawings, banners, leaflets, posters, etc.), audio and video materials is possible free of charge.

2.4. When using other portal materials for any purpose other than personal purposes, a link to the Site is required.

3. ACCURACY OF REPRODUCTION OF SITE MATERIALS

3.1. Reducing or rearranging parts of the material is permitted if this does not lead to a distortion of its meaning. Responsibility for distortion of the meaning of materials resulting from their inaccurate reproduction lies with the User;

3.2. Cropping photographs of the portal is allowed only if it is impossible to layout the photograph in its original form;
